Iris Software has been named among the Top 6 in the BFSI category at the NASSCOM AI Gamechangers Awards 2026, selected from more than 500 entries across six sector and two special categories following a presentation to the NASSCOM jury.
The recognition is for an agentic AI solution for UI Quality Engineering (QE) in Payments that brings together payments domain context, AI, and engineering expertise to rethink how complex UI testing is designed and delivered.
From 5 Hours to 40 Minutes per Workflow
Testing complex payment workflows traditionally requires QE engineers to manually interpret UI components and business validations, map user journeys, and design comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
The Iris solution uses an agentic, context-aware approach to interpret application UI structures and interaction data and generate relevant test scenarios and test cases. Engineers validate AI-generated outputs before they enter the QE pipeline, keeping human judgment at the centre of the process.
Measurable Impact:
- Approximately 85% reduction in UI workflow QE effort - Test-case creation has been reduced from approximately five hours to around 40 minutes per workflow.
- Enhanced test coverage - More complete and contextually relevant scenarios help strengthen the quality of testing across complex UI workflows.
- Built to scale - The approach can be extended across UI workflows and other UI-intensive QE environments.
The award submission and jury presentation were led by Komal Aneja, Senior Engineer – Quality Engineering, Financial Services; Gaurav Malhotra, Senior Director – Project Management, Financial Services; and Ehtashamul Tariq, Associate Director – Technology, CTO Office, bringing together quality engineering, domain, and technology expertise.
Commenting on the achievement, Dhruv Kapur, Vice President and Delivery Head – Financial Services, said, “The best AI doesn’t replace engineering judgement. It multiplies it. This team proved that in payments—reimagining a core QE process, cutting effort by 85% while keeping engineering judgement at the center. That is the delivery standard we’re building on.”
Ravi Thiagarajan, Chief Technology Officer, said, “The real value of AI lies in applying it to solve complex enterprise challenges at scale. This solution demonstrates that potential — bringing together agentic AI and strong engineering practices, with human intent and judgement at its core. Its ability to extend across other UI-intensive QE environments further strengthens its potential for broader impact.”
The achievement reflects how Iris is combining deep financial services expertise, engineering excellence, and AI to solve real client challenges and create measurable impact.
